cabinetry. With a vast selection of door styles, wood species and finishes and
nearly limitless options for customization. If you can dream it, they can build it.
* Six cabinet construction styles are offered: Full Overlay; Frameless; Flush Inset;
Beaded Inset Regular Overlay (3/4). (Frameless and beaded inset are not available
in the New River line.)
* A wide variety of standard wood species are offered, but almost any material
can be sourced. Depending upon door style, standard species available are: Maple,
Cherry, Oak, Hickory, Knotty Pine, Rustic Cherry, Rustic Oak, Alder, Mahogany,
Red Birch, Lyptus, Quarter Sawn Oak, Rift Oak, stainless steel.
* CWP has new state of the art cabinet finishing equipment. They offers a wide variety of stains, painted finishes, glaze techniques and distressing. Their 14 step "Custom Guard" finish has 3 finish coats in their Custom line and 2 finish coats in their New River line for beauty and durability.
* Cabinetry construction employs exceptional construction methods and materials
including: flush finished ends using a locking miter corner joint, natural birch
plywood interiors and plywood box construction, mortis and tendon joinery for the
solid wood face frame, dovetail drawers, blumotion soft close drawer slides and
standard 13-1/2" deep wall cabinets to accommodate larger dinner plates, etc.
* CWP also offers Altantis, an outdoor cabinetry available in painted perma panel
or teak, bamboo and cyprus wood doors. Atlantis cabinetry comes with a limited lifetime warranty against defect for as
long as you own the cabinetry. Atlantis wood doors and drawer fronts have a 15
year warranty.
* CWP offers a limited lifetime warranty which guarantees that any CWP kitchen,
bathroom or other houshold cabinet will be free of defect for as long as you own
the cabinetry.
* Green - While CWP is cautious about calling themselves a "Green" company, their cabinets and manufacturing process have many green credentials. CWP is a local company which sources many of its materials locally. Purchasing CWP cabinetry means both support for the local economy and a low carbon transportation footprint. [Shipping "green" cabinetry from California to Washington, DC is not a "Green" practice.]CWP sources most of its materials locally. * FSC plywood is available for an up-charge. * CWP is a member of the KCMA Environmental Stewardship program. This entails meeting the lowest formaldehyde emission standards for sheet products (e.g. plywood). Hardwoods are certified through an independent and credible forestry program. Active recycling program is in place recycling or reusing most of their scrap. CWP does not utilize a low-VOC finish because have not found a water based finish to meet their durability standards. Cabinetry built and guaranteed to last for as long as you own the home is in fact a green quality.
