Liz is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.  This LEED-based knowledge of green building practices, as well as her previous experience in historic preservation and renovation, help inform her design methods in developing a singular solution for each of her projects.   Liz is presently carrying out the Architecture Registration Examination (ARE) architectural licensure process, a series of nine exams.';

pers['body_8'] = 'John Nahra has been with the company since August of 2004.  Currently he is on full-time leave from the company while he completes his work on a Master&#39;s Degree in Architecture with a Real Estate Development Concentration at the Catholic University of America.  However, as his schedule permits, he does serve in a consultant manner to the firm.  He is expected to complete his research and degree by spring of 2008.  While at the company he served in a number of capacities as a construction project manager, construction superintendent, and architectural designer.  He is experienced as a residential designer and constructor.  John&#39;s main project responsibilities during his two and a half year tenure was the design and construction of Landis&#39;s new corporate headquarters, named ‘The Landis Building’, located in the Takoma Park neighborhood of Washington, DC.  This 20,000 square foot commercial office building is home to many design-build businesses and also qualifies for LEED Certification for green design and construction.  John&#39;s interests are extremely varied within the architectural design and construction professions and he prides himself on being able to analyze a design problem from many different vantages.  As an undergraduate student he simultaneously completed separate degrees in architecture and civil engineering.  He was recognized with numerous academic design and engineering awards during his undergraduate career and he graduated first in both his architecture and engineering classes.  In the spring of 2006 he accepted a position as a visiting architectural design critic at the Catholic University of America, a position that he still currently enjoys.  Immediately following the completion of his Masters Degree in Architecture John intends to obtain his professional architecture license and continue to work with the Landis Team on many innovative and exciting projects.
