Landis Construction, a long established and award winning design/build firm in Takoma, DC seeks a talented project architect/designer with 5+ years experience with residential remodeling.

You will be working directly with a principal of the firm, Chris Landis involved in every aspect of design including sales.

Duties of job and job skills:

Client meetings, relations and communication.

Schematics, design development, working drawings.

Field Surveys including shooting elevations

Working with estimating and permitting departments.

Handle multiple projects at any given time.

Coordinate with consultants as well as in house project managers and subcontractors.

Redline drawings.

Hands on carpentry experience a plus.

Strong written and oral presentation skills

Sales experience and a good understanding of sales process.

Ability to work independently and on a team.

A professional architecture degree.

Experience managing others a plus.

Strong understanding of building codes in DC/MD/VA

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
