| The glass brick wall echoes the curve of the custom-make sink. |
| Although the bath is set
in a narrow space, the view to the outdoors opens
up the room. |
The curved element is the glass wall, shown in

Foggy Bottom, DC - Master Bathroom
Brief Explanation of the Scope
of Work
This project was for a couple
that spent a great deal of time reviewing designer
magazines and visiting bath showrooms in order to create
a very specific look. Achieving this precise look posed
an intriguing challenge.
Unusual Constraints/Challenges & Creative Solutions
The challenge was to fit a design
intensive bath into
a narrow existing space.
Design elements included two
pocket doors, a curved block glass wall separating the shower area from the
hall, and complicated tile and stone details.
Careful coordination between elevations of glass,
tile, stone, wood and drywall helped make this a successful
project.
Overall Results
The customers were very happy with the final
outcome.
Dark colors had further
restricted the
sense of space in the original bath. |
