Dupont Circle, DC - Kitchen Addition & Whole House Remodel
Brief Explanation of the Scope
of Work
The clients’ specific requirements & needs
were:
1. More counter space. We accomplished
this by replacing two radiators with two toe kick heaters.
2. To level the existing
floor and ceiling, which were two inches out of level.
3. To install a new full-light
door, as well as new windows, which required framing
new openings.
4. To include a desk
area with
bookshelves and a wine rack overhead.
5. To stain the wood
floor so it matched those in rest of the house.
6. To match the two-piece
trim of the existing house.
Crown molding was included to tie the room together.
| The old kitchen was comparatively
dark and cramped. |
Overall Results
The resulting space, with its
stainless steel appliances, granite counters and large
windows, was light-filled and well-detailed.
