As part of a total kitchen renovation, the client wanted to have a unique eat-in breakfast table. The solution was a custom glass top table with LED lighting that changes the color of the glass attached to the island. With an RGB Color Changing LED light strip, the owners no longer have to decide which color to use. They can either allow the lights to cycle through a continuous color-changing pattern or stop the controller at any color they like. They can change the color scheme with the seasons, or simply at whim. The LED lights are extremely energy-efficient, have a very long life, and produce virtually no heat.
The kitchen is all white at the clients’ request. The use of glass and white custom built-ins echoes the finish and lightness of the entire room. The changing color of the LED lights in the glass tabletop adds color to the room. The wood floors of the kitchen continue into the adjacent spaces—the dining room and family room. All cabinetry and countertops materials are custom made to fit the space and give an airy feeling to the room. The glass table top has bubbles as a motif that is carried over from the glass of the kitchen cabinet doors. To learn more about this project, e-mail marketing@landisconstruction.com
