Landis Architects/Builders Wants to Keep You as a Life-long Customer

Guild Quality Member Landis Architects/Builders recently became a member of GuildQuality. GuildQuality is a company providing customer satisfaction surveys designed specifically for the building industry-quality-minded homebuilders, remodelers, and contractors. GuildQuality surveys our customers twice during the design/build process-once on completion of the design phase and a second time at the completion of construction. We greatly value your feedback about our work and staff. Below are some client testimonials.

Bungalow Transformation

"I knew from the beginning that my home would be in good hands with Landis. I had heard of their reputation for excellence. It was great to know that they employed so many people with various backgrounds in different fields. I loved how every detail was covered...from the binder with information given to me at the beginning of the project, to how everyone performed their job...including the subs. Everyone was very professional, courteous, hard-working, and helpful, and I REALLY appreciated their good attitudes." - The Client

Family-Friendly Kitchen Renovation in Friendship Heights

To date this has been a very positive experience. We were well guided by our designer and team leader. We exceeded our own budget but that is on us, not Landis and they worked with us on value engineering it to a level we could live with. The turn arounds were quite timely and we broke walls on the day initially projected three months ago.

Kitchen Addition in Silver Spring

I was most satisfied with how they were willing to do walk through with us and make changes mid-course. When something was clearly not heading in the direction that we wanted they worked with us to make it more of what we wanted. We are amazed that we got in on time with the holiday season and it has been a very positive relationship.

Versatile Addition for Aging in Place

This major addition to our home was the second time that we contracted with Landis Construction and we have been completely satisfied with their work on both occasions. This project was well managed, well done and on schedule. Great attention to detail and quality. Lead carpenter was excellent and very responsive. We were very pleased with the design phase of our construction project. Landis Construction made every effort to incorporate our requests and presented many useful options that we would not have considered on our own.

Sleek and Modern Bath in Foggy Bottom

We are very pleased with the overall experience, practically stress free, thanks to the excellent workmanship, a very good internal quality control, and an effective communication. Strongly recommended.

Cathedral Heights Condominium: Universal Design

"I was most satisfied with the magnificent completed project provided by Landis Construction Corp. They have done three projects for me.   One of the three was relatively simple, which was built-in book cases and a fire place. Another was more complex, a renovation of the kitchen. A third, a major renovation, which involved widening corridors and constructing a brand new, handicapped accessible bathroom. Also, a wonderful entrance way to the garden was provided. All the work for all of these projects was first class.  I would have rated higher than 4, if I could. They were extraordinarily good."

Bethesda, MD New Kitchen and Addition

"I identified Landis as a contender for my project after reading Washingtonian Magazine's "30 Top Remodelers/Design Build Firms in DC Area" over a year ago. I went on their web-site and met with Chris Landis to discuss my plans. Most of the top 30 design/build firms are capable but many of them keep churning out the same old tired results every year. I looked at several firms' finished additions 3-5 years after the work had been completed that in my estimation were poorly built. This project was a very big investment for me. I needed my structural work to be undeniably sound and reliable, and I wanted quality craftsmanship and the best materials I could afford. It had to be, well, "fabulous" - - - Washington is really a small town. If a firm does poor work, bad news spreads quickly."

Whole House Remodel, Chevy Chase Neighborhood, Washington, DC

“They were extremely organized in getting most of the planning work done. We worked together as a team, met frequently in person, worked via email, and worked via the website they set up. The communication was pretty clear and good. Ethan Landis was available anytime that my husband and I wanted to deal with him personally. That was a huge plus.”

"We have been more than pleased with Landis, I would recommend them to anyone. We will use them again with any project that we would do in the future. The quality has been excellent, they have made all of the decisions so easy. We have enjoyed having them in our home. They are like family, and I will miss not having them around when the project is finished. They have kept to the time frame they estimated at the beginning of the project. I can’t say enough great things about our experience."
