George Bryan

George traces his interest in design back to a high school photo class, where he was flipping through an issue of Architectural Digest looking for collage material and stopped on a few houses that stuck with him. Designing homes like that for a living seemed like a pretty good way to spend a career, and he's been at it ever since.

At Landis, George serves as an interior designer, bringing adistinct point of view to every project he takes on. The part he finds most rewarding is the relationship side: getting to know clients well enough tounderstand what they actually want, then translating that into a design that fits. One early milestone stands out to him was the first time one of hisdesigns ran in a magazine.

Outside of work, George is a DJ with a deep appreciation for live music, and he spends a good share of his free time at shows and festivals. He'd pick Le Corbusier as his ideal dinner guest, as much for the furniture as the architecture, an leans toward industrial style in his own taste. His advice for anyone considering the field is short: make sure you're actually passionate about it.
