Anders Adelfang

Anders’ roots in design and building trace back to Sweden, where his grandfather, a major influence on him, built homes and commercial buildings in the medieval city of Visby on the island of Gotland. Anders has carried that tradition forward since 1991. After earning a BS in Architecture from Auburn University, he worked with architects and design-build firms across the country before running his own success full design-build company in the South for 15 years. From there he moved to Colorado, and then to DC to be closer to family. Along the way, he bought and renovated close to a dozen homes, each one carrying his signature, and his family good-naturedly lived through every construction project. He first met Chris and Ethan Landis through a Remodelers Advantage peer group, so when he arrived in DC, joining Landis was a natural fit with a firm that shares his commitment to constant improvement and the highest standards.

At Landis, Anders serves as a Team Leader, Senior Project Designer, and Project Manager, guiding clients through every phase of design and construction. He loves finding creative solutions to complex problems, and his designs reflect a deep connection to nature. He is deeply committed to sustainable building practices, healthy homes, and integrates energy efficiency into every project. He treats each project as personal, cares about it as much as his clients do, and enjoys staying in touch long after the warranty ends.

Now settled in DC for the long haul, Anders is turning his current home into the best example of his work yet. He also creates sculptures, land art, mobiles, paintings, and collages in his studio, and enjoys biking, yoga, music, and being active outdoors. He misses the mountains, but after years in the South, he finds DC’s humidity downright mild.
